Killing of IRGC adviser

Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi has vehemently denounced the Israeli killing of a high-ranking member of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Syria, describing it as an act of desperation by the Israeli authorities.

In an interview with the Lebanese Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television network, Vahidi emphasized that this assassination reflects the deep frustration and despair within the Israeli regime.

He identified the victim as Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi, who was engaged in an official mission in Syria and was openly targeted.

Vahidi criticized Israel for disregarding international norms and moral standards.

He argued that such actions against Iranian advisors in Syria will not deter the Axis of Resistance but rather strengthen and bolster it.

Vahidi accused Israel of engaging in self-destructive behavior, predicting its eventual downfall due to its irrational actions.

He further commented that the sacrifices of Palestinian victims and the deceased IRGC commander will ultimately lead to the downfall of the Israeli occupation.

The incident involving Mousavi occurred in the Sayyeda Zeinab area of Damascus, where he was on a consultative mission in Syria.
