Foreign diplomats are getting enough security
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam commented that the Bangladesh government is providing much better and more effective security to foreign diplomats than other countries in the world.
He said this in response to reporters' questions after meeting with foreign ambassadors on Thursday.
The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said that the security of diplomats is being provided by our security forces, government, and Ministry of Home Affairs in a much better way than many countries in the world and will continue to do so in the future.
Bangladesh will compete for the post of Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in the elections to be held next July. Representatives of 25 member states out of the 40 members of the IMO Council attended the meeting.
