Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed has broken his silence regarding the investigative reports published by kalerkantho, which shed light on alleged misdeeds and corruption attributed to him. The revelations have sparked controversy and criticism both domestically and internationally.

kalerkantho, in a series of investigative reports, unveiled various instances of alleged corruption and irregularities associated with Benazir Ahmed. The reports, including titles such as 'Aladdin's lamp in Benazir's house', 'Three and a half crore flat for girl's rest', 'Benazir's resort in forest land', and 'Bhu Sampatti in St. Martin's Cox's Bazar', have garnered significant attention and scrutiny.

Critics have questioned how a government official could accumulate such vast wealth and assets through questionable means, calling for accountability and justice.

Efforts were made by kalerkantho to solicit a response from Benazir Ahmed regarding the allegations, but no statement was forthcoming despite repeated attempts.

However, on Tuesday, Benazir Ahmed finally addressed the allegations through a post on his verified Facebook page at 11:11 am. In his post, he urged for patience, stating, "Two people are very angry, very excited and Immediately wrote the editorial, sub-editorial, article. Please have a little patience." He further added, "Kutsar kissa avi vee baaki hai" (The story of the jug is still pending).

However, the response from netizens was largely negative, with many expressing skepticism and further raising questions about corruption and the extent of Benazir Ahmed's alleged illegal assets. The lack of a clear denial or detailed explanation from Benazir Ahmed has only fueled public discontent and intensified demands for accountability.

The unfolding situation underscores the importance of transparency, accountability, and the rule of law in governance. As the controversy surrounding Benazir Ahmed continues to evolve, it remains imperative for relevant authorities to conduct thorough investigations and ensure that justice is served, restoring public trust in governmental institutions and officials.
