Dhaka, May 20, 2024 — The third session of the twelfth national parliament, also known as the budget session, is set to begin on June 5, 2024, at 5 PM. The session was convened by President Sahabuddin and announced through a circular signed by KM Abdus Salam, Senior Secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat, on Monday.

According to sources within the Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali will present the budget proposal for the fiscal year 2024-25 to the National Parliament on June 6. This year's budget session is expected to be extensive. The Parliamentary Working Advisory Committee will meet before the session begins on June 5 to determine the duration of the session.

The second session of the twelfth National Parliament, which started on May 2 and concluded on May 9, saw the passage of a bill. With the upcoming budget session, significant discussions and legislative activities are anticipated.
