TotalEnergies Algeria, in collaboration with Algeria Venture, has signed a new partnership agreement for the 4th edition of the Startupper of the Year Challenge by TotalEnergies. Parties Involved: Moufdi Zakaria Chikh, Managing Director of TotalEnergies EP Algeria & Country Chair, alongside representatives from Algeria Venture, including Mr. Yacine Oualid, Minister of startups, Micro-entreprises, and knowledge economy, and Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki, General Director of Algeria Venture, participated in the signing ceremony.

Objective: The partnership agreement aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Algeria by providing support and opportunities for startups through the Startupper of the Year Challenge.

Startupper of the Year Challenge Overview

Special Edition: The 4th edition of the Startupper of the Year Challenge is being held in 32 African countries to commemorate the 100th anniversary of TotalEnergies. This edition is dedicated to supporting and inspiring young African entrepreneurs to realize their innovative projects.

Categories: Participants have the opportunity to compete in three categories

1. Innov’Up: Recognizing the best entrepreneurs with startups of less than three years or mature business ideas.
2. Cycle’Up: Rewarding startup or business ideas that demonstrate the principles of circular economy.
3. Power’Up: Honoring startups or business ideas focused on promoting sustainable and affordable energies.
4. Selection Process: Each participating country will select one winner per category, with an additional four winners chosen by an international jury in the Power’Up category.
