As Bangladesh gears up to commemorate its Great Independence and National Day on March 26th, I am deeply moved to reflect upon the courageous legacy of my father, Md. Moshiur Rahman. Born in the picturesque village of Kedar, situated within the union of Baldia in the upazila of Bhurungamari, Kurigram district, my father's story is one of unwavering bravery and selfless sacrifice in the face of adversity.

Growing up, I was privileged to hear firsthand accounts of my father's participation in the Great War of Liberation, a chapter of history that is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our nation. His name, Md. Moshiur Rahman, stands tall among the heroes of our independence, revered for his undying commitment to the cause of freedom.

My father's valorous deeds are not merely confined to the pages of history; they are etched in the very soul of our family and our nation. His identity as a freedom fighter is documented in the Indian List of Freedom Fighters (40333), Lal Mukti Barta (316040036), and Civil Gazette (1266), serving as a poignant reminder of his unwavering dedication to the liberation struggle.

I remember the stories my father would share with me, recounting tales of bravery, resilience, and solidarity amidst the tumult of war. He spoke of the sacrifices made by him and his comrades, the hardships endured, and the indomitable spirit that fueled their fight for independence.

My father's commitment to the cause extended far beyond the battlefield. He was a beacon of hope for his fellow freedom fighters, a source of strength for our community, and a symbol of resistance against oppression. His courage and determination inspired all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the collective memory of our nation.

As I reflect on the eve of Independence Day, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude for the sacrifices made by my father and countless others like him. 

On this auspicious occasion, let us honor the memory of our brave freedom fighters and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values of liberty, equality, and justice for all. Let us draw inspiration from their legacy as we continue to strive towards a brighter future for our beloved Bangladesh.

As the son of a valiant freedom fighter, I am honored to carry forward the torch of independence, ensuring that the sacrifices of our heroes are never forgotten.
