Khaleda's appearance in 11 cases on May 15

The court fixed June 15 for the appearance in 11 cases against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on charges of sabotage and sedition.

As he could not appear in court today due to illness, when his lawyer applied for time, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court Judge Asaduzzaman fixed a new day. On January 25, 2016, a sedition case was filed against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the court for making controversial comments about the number of martyrs in the Great War of Liberation.

Meanwhile, on the night of January 23, 2015, a petrol bomb attacked a passenger bus in Jatrabari. 29 passengers of the bus got burnt. And one burnt passenger died under treatment. Later in 2016, police submitted a charge sheet against Khaleda and others accused.

Along with Begum Zia, the notable accused in these cases are BNP leaders Amanullah Aman, Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohail, and Sultan Salauddin Tuku.
