In the midst of the thrilling Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the national cricket team has set its sights on the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, scheduled to commence on March 4. Despite the ongoing BPL playoffs, the national team camp has kicked off today, reflecting the unwavering commitment of Bangladeshi cricketers.

The national team camp, held in Dhaka, saw the inclusion of several key players who were not part of the BPL playoffs. The likes of Mominul Haque, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Nayeem Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Naim Sheikh, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Shadman Islam have joined the preparatory camp.

Furthermore, the camp includes promising talents Abdullah Al Mamun and pacer Shafiqul Islam, recognized for their stellar performances in the National Cricket League (NCL) and Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL).

While the Test squad for the upcoming series has not been officially announced, the presence of regular Test players in the camp emphasizes the team's focus on all formats of the game.

The Sri Lanka series, comprising three T20s, three ODIs, and two Test matches, will kick off with the first T20 encounter on March 4. Sylhet will host the T20 series before both teams move to Chattogram for the ODI leg. The Test series will see matches hosted in Sylhet and Chattogram.

As the national team immerses itself in the preparatory camp, the Sri Lankan cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on March 1, setting the stage for an exciting and closely-watched cricketing duel.

Despite the hectic schedule, the dedication and enthusiasm of the Bangladeshi cricketers remain palpable, reflecting their commitment to delivering a stellar performance in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
