Fatalities by District

Jhalkathi: Three individuals lost their lives in Jhalkathi due to the storm. The victims were identified as Helena Begum, Faruk Hossain's wife, and Minara Begum.

Patuakhali: In Baufal upazila, an elderly woman named Safia Begum (98) tragically passed away after being buried under a fallen tree. Additionally, a ninth-grade student named Ratul (13) lost his life due to a lightning strike in Roy Taterkathi village.

Pirojpur: Ruby Begum (22) died after a tree fell on her house in Pirojpur Sadar Upazila. Furthermore, Anil Pal (82) succumbed to injuries after falling into the canal of Nalbuniya village during the storm.

Bhola: Lightning strikes claimed the lives of Haris (68) and Bachchu (40) when their house collapsed in Lalmohan Upazila.
Khulna: Obaidullah Gazi (25) died due to lightning in Dumuria upazila.

Bagerhat: Ariful Islam Likchan (30) lost his life while tending to cows during the storm in Kachua Upazila.

Netrakona: Shahid Mia (52), a farmer from Khaliajuri Upazila, was fatally struck by lightning while working in the fields.

Jessore: Abdul Malek Patwari (62), a farmer from Jhikargacha upazila, fell victim to lightning strikes.

Rangamati: Sajeu Khiang (48) lost his life due to lightning strikes in Rajasthan.

Response and Relief Efforts

Upazila administrations have pledged compensation for the families of the deceased and assistance for those whose houses have been damaged.
