Police should be more people-friendly

President Md. Shahabuddin ordered every member of the Bangladesh Police to be more public-friendly in their activities.
Bangladesh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun gave this instruction when he paid a courtesy call to the President at Bangabhaban on Sunday afternoon.
After the meeting, the press secretary. Zainal Abedin quoting the President said, 'Police members should take care to make the work of the people friendly. The President said that the police should act as a friend of the people. He also ordered to submit the investigation report as soon as possible for the settlement of various cases in the public interest.
The Head of State said, 'Cybercrime is increasing due to the development of information technology. Every member of the police should be trained in technology to deal with cybercrime. President Sahabuddin praised the role of the police in combating terrorism and militancy and advised them to continue this activity in the future.
The Inspector General of Police informed the President about the overall activities of the Bangladesh Police.
Secretary of the President's Office, Rich Badua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salahuddin Islam, Press Secretary Md. Zainal Abedin and Secretary (Attached) Md. Wahidul Islam Khan was present at this time.
