In a significant exchange meeting held at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central office in Delhi, Awami League Information and Research Secretary, Dr. Salim Mahmud, highlighted the remarkable strides made by Bangladesh and India towards achieving unprecedented development, progress, and prosperity. 

The meeting, attended by esteemed leaders including BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda, External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Indian Minister of Railways and Communications and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw, underscored the deepening ties and shared aspirations between the two nations.

Dr. Salim Mahmud commended the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in propelling Bangladesh towards a trajectory of remarkable growth and transformation. Under her stewardship, Bangladesh has witnessed remarkable development, surprising the world with its strides in various sectors. Similarly, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership has been instrumental in driving significant progress and development in India over the past decade. Both leaders have ushered in an era of political and economic stability in their respective countries, empowering their citizens and fostering a conducive environment for growth and prosperity.

One of the notable points emphasized during the meeting was the convergence of goals between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's vision of a Smart Bangladesh by 2041 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambition for a Developed India by 2047. While the timelines may vary slightly, the overarching objective remains the same - to ensure the ultimate prosperity and well-being of all citizens.

Dr. Salim Mahmud's visit to India as a representative of Awami League signifies the commitment of both nations to further strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation for mutual benefit and regional prosperity.
