Election Commission Directs Removal of Habiganj DC for Impartial Election Conduct. 

The Election Commission (EC) has issued a directive for the removal of Habiganj's Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Returning Officer, Devi Chand, to ensure fair and unbiased conduct of the upcoming elections.

The directive was communicated through a letter authored by Mizanur Rahman, the Deputy Secretary of the Election Commission, on Monday. The letter has prompted the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration to execute the necessary actions in this matter.

As outlined in the letter, the Election Commission has determined the necessity to replace the Deputy Commissioner of Habiganj for the 12th National Assembly elections to maintain the integrity and impartiality of the electoral process. Consequently, the Commission has requested the withdrawal of the current Deputy Commissioner and the appointment of a suitable officer to fill the position.
